Senior Consultant:

Nik has more than 20 years experience in schools, as a teacher, leader and principal (15 years in 3 schools ranging from small and rural to larger and urban). He has strengths in leadership coaching and mentoring; curriculum design; and organisational culture, having implemented distributive leadership structures to equip and empower staff at all levels.  Nik is passionate about growing people’s capability and helping them align their efforts around common aspirational goals. Nik has led principal professional networks, partnerships with iwi, and research projects including the development of mana-enhancing student leadership initiatives for tamariki Māori. Nik has also helped schools transition from single cell practice to highly effective collaborative, innovative learning spaces, including design, change leadership and professional learning. Nik also has considerable experience in Kahui Ako governance and appointments; RTLB clusters, Principals’ Associations and MoE advisory groups.
