Senior Consultant

In her role as an Expert Partner, Accredited Facilitator and Senior Consultant for Leading Learning, Jo works with schools and Kāhui Ako throughout New Zealand. Specialising in the area of review, strategic planning, future-focused development, community consultation, appraisal, governance and management, Jo supports leaders to strengthen sustainable school development.

As an experienced educational leader, Jo is particularly interested in the way schools learn, the language of learning, and the strategies that educators can utilise, to engage school leaders, teachers and students in rich learning opportunities and experiences that make learning authentic and meaningful for them. Jo is highly regarded in her profession, with proven ability to work alongside educators and leaders to promote change.

In addition to her consultancy work with schools, Jo has also been the project leader for several Ministry of Education projects, including ICT PD Project (2010), Blended e-Leading (2011), Development of Hautū: Māori Cultural Responsiveness Self Review tool for Boards of Trustees (2013), and Review of Vocational Pathways (2014-2016). Jo has also led several contracts with New Zealand School Trustees Association, including the development of NZSTA Governance Internal Evaluation tool.
